A British hacker named Gary McKinnon says he found thousands of UFO images when he hacked into 97 government computers. He said he was able to hack these computers because they were using unsecure Windows browsers. He hacked into these computers sometime between February 2001 and March 2002.
The British Hacker's Finding on UFO's
When he hacked in, he found four folders: filtered, unfiltered, processed, and raw. Unfortunately, he only had a 56k dial-up Internet connection, and was only able to download one image before he was kicked out: a "cigar-shaped" UFO.
There have been many theories and claims that NASA scrubs sections of its photographs that have evidence of UFOs, including a claim from a former NASA employee named Donna Hare. McKinnon's find also supports these claims. McKinnon was certain NASA was covering up evidence of alien life, and was truly shocked at how many images he found.
Once he announced he had found these images, he was threatened with extradition to the United States and prosecution. Prosecutors in the U.S. wanted to put him in jail for up to 60 years, and they said that fixing the problems he caused would cost more than 700,000 USD.
It's a fact that there are objects we don't understand flying around in our skies, it's also a fact that there are scientific, intelligence and military departments that study these objects.

He was arrested in 2002, and again in 2005 for extradition to the U.S., but this led to years of appeals and the creation of a campaign to fight his extradition. In October 2012, his extradition was stopped by Theresa May, and two months later the Director of Public Prosecutors announced McKinnon would not face charges in the UK.
