The Ramey Memo
Pictured right is an image of General Ramey looking at the alleged remnants of the Roswell crash. In his hand, you can see he's holding an assortment of papers. Unfortunately, the photo is very grainy when zoomed in, making it nearly impossible to actually read what the paper says.
For decades the Ramey memo was a mystery, and there was actually a $10,000 reward offered to anyone who could "definitively read" what the memo said.
In 1998, J. Bond Johnson assembled a team to try to decipher what the memo said. There were significant gaps in between what he was able to find, but the text is shown below:
"As the … 4 hrs the victims of the … at Fort Worth, Tex… the 'crash' story … for 0984 acknowledges … emergency powers are needed site two SW of Magdalena, NMex … safe talk … for meaning of story and mission … weather balloons sent on the … and land … rover crews … [signed] … temple."(Johnson, 1998)
According to official statements that the debris was a weather balloon, why and how would there be "victims"? Almost 20 years later, there was another breakthrough in the Ramey memo.
In 2017, a UFO researcher named David Rudiak claimed he was finally able to read a portion of what the memo said. Alejandro Rojas, a presenter for Open Minds Radio, told Express Online: 'He [David] says it is clear that there is a reference to a disc and believes he can also make out a portion of a sentence that reads "and the victims of the wreck".
If true, this corroborates both the original statement from the Army saying the wreckage was a disc, as well as claims that there were "bodies" recovered from the crash. It's also consistent with the first deciphering.
Below are full images of the memo that both Johnson and Rudiak used to figure out what the memo said. Note: The original images were far too large to upload to our website, so these have been scaled down.
